Hunting a Giant Brown Bear

Three long nights, countless hours in the hide and several bears coming to the bait—but none was the old, mature trophy we were waiting for.

Then, on the fourth night, in the Velebit Mountains, the bear we had been watching for so long finally appeared. From the very first moment, we knew he was the one. A magnificent Croatian brown bear, powerful and heavy, measuring well over 500 CIC points.

After such a long and exciting wait, our hunter kept his nerve and placed a perfect shot. A truly unforgettable night and an exceptional trophy from one of the last corners of Europe where bears of this size can still be found.

Thanks to our exclusive hunting area and the outstanding team we have in Croatia, Masara produces remarkable bears here year after year. Spring and autumn are the prime hunting seasons, and we still have a limited number of licences available for next spring.
