16-18 July we were in the province of Alicante hunting Barbary Sheep, a beautiful animal but difficult to find and challenging to stalk.

The very high temperatures only gave us 2 hunting hours very early in the morning and 2 more in the late evening but it was enough time to get two really nice representative males.

Perfect shape of horns, really long bears, and beautiful skins, excellent for a nice shoulder mount. We used .308 W caliber which was cool for the long shots we needed, 272 and 303 meters, the area is completely free range, wild and challenging and Barbaries like to stay as far as possible.

If you are enjoying some holidays close to Alicante, it’s a perfect plan to spend 1 day chasing those hunting jewels.

Come and enjoy…see you soon!
